⚠️ Important: Know Your Blood!
Before you mix, please note that Blood Red Slime is a unique, high-volume event product. To ensure your project is a success, keep these three things in mind:
- It’s Not Putty: This is not a sticky, stretchy toy-store putty. It is a wet, pulpy, "game-show style" liquid designed for massive splashes of blood and high-volume effects.
- It’s Not Traditional Fake Blood: Unlike syrup-based theatrical blood, our formula is made from water-absorbing polymers. It is designed to stay wet and vibrant for hours without drying out or becoming sticky.
- Best Use Cases: Because it stays wet and flows easily, it is the #1 choice for blood fountains, bubbling cauldrons, blood-spray cannons (using water blasters or water pumps), and stage effects (like the Evil Dead stage show!) where you need "blood" that will spurt and splatter, and won't dry up under stage lights.
How to make Blood Red Slime
The Golden Ratio:
- US: 1 Gallon Water + 1 oz Powder = 1 Gallon of Blood Red Slime
- 2 Gallons Water + 2 oz Powder = 2 Gallon of Blood Red Slime
- Metric: 4 Liters Water + 30g Powder = 4 Liters of Blood Red Slime
- 8 Liters Water + 60g Powder = 8 Liters of Blood Red Slime
Making a Full Batch?
- Add the entire bag to 15 Gallons (57L) of water to make a full 15-gallon cauldron of fake blood.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Water First: Fill your container with the desired amount of clean water.
- The Sprinkle: Lightly sprinkle the powder into the water while stirring. Tip: Mixing while you sprinkle prevents clumping and ensures a smooth texture.
- Adjust:
- For Blasters: Add a splash more water for a "runny" blood.
- For Thick Gory Goo: Add a dash more powder for a "thick" blood.
⚠️ Important Rules
- Water Quality: Use fresh water only. DO NOT use salt water or high-chlorine pool water, as this will prevent the blood from thickening.

Clean-Up & Disposal Guide
Instant Slime is non-toxic and biodegradable, making clean-up straightforward. Depending on where you played, follow these steps for the easiest disposal:
1. The "Salt Trick" (For Containers, Tubs & Pools)
If your blood is contained in a pool, bucket, or cauldron, you can turn it back into liquid in seconds!
- How to do it: Stir in approximately 1 cup of table salt per 15 gallons (60L) of blood red slime.
- The Result: The salt breaks down the blood into red water, which can then be easily poured away down a drain or into a safe disposal area.
- ⚠️ CAUTION: Never use salt directly on blood on a lawn, as salt will damage the grass.
2. Large Piles on the Ground
- Scoop & Bin: For large amounts of fake blood on the ground, the most efficient method is to scoop the blood into heavy-duty waste bags for disposal in your regular trash.
- Smaller amounts: Any remaining residue can be hosed down into the grass and soil.
3. Disposal Tips on Grass & Lawns
If you’ve used the fake blood outdoors on a lawn, and are unable to scoop it up, follow these "best practice" steps:
- Spread it Thin: Do not leave blood in thick piles. Use a garden rake or broom to spread the blood wide and thin across the grass.
- Sun & UV Exposure: Spreading it thin allows the sun’s UV rays to reach the polymers. UV light is the fastest way to "cut" the polymer chains and break them down.
- Water: Natural rainfall or a hosing will wash the particles into the soil, where natural microbial action finishes the decomposition process.
- Safety Note: Fake blood remains slippery until it has fully broken down. Mark the area as a "No-Go Zone" for foot traffic until the grass is clear.
4. Clean up: Skin
Most blood will rinse off with a hose. To remove any temporary tinting from the skin (especially after handling the dry powder), simply wash with warm soapy water.
Clean up: Clothes
Because our Blood Red Slime is engineered for high-impact visual effects, it contains a high concentration of red pigment. To keep your gear and costumes looking fresh, we recommend a "Deep Clean" approach:
1. The Preliminary Rinse:
Hose off as much of the wet slime as possible immediately after use. This prevents the polymers from drying into the fibers of the fabric.
2. The Overnight Soak (Recommended):
For white shirts or porous fabrics, a standard wash may not be enough.
- The Method: Submerge the items in a tub of warm water mixed with an oxygen-based cleaner (like OxiClean or a similar laundry booster).
- The Time: Let it soak overnight. This gives the cleaning agents time to lift the deep red pigments out of the fabric.
3. Standard Wash:
After soaking, run the items through a normal washing machine cycle with your regular detergent.
4. The Power of the Sun:
Whenever possible, hang your clothes to dry in direct sunlight. The sun’s UV rays act as a natural bleaching agent and are incredibly effective at fading any remaining red tint.
